Single-frequency noise, as produced by fans, turbines and other air inflows and outlets, often generate considerable noise exposure in the surrounding environment. Baffle silencers can cut these noise levels significantly. G+H produces either absorption baffle silencers or resonator baffle silencers for its customers depending on their application requirements. They have stable, welded steel frame structures which can, if necessary, be equipped with temperature-resistant mineral fibers. If needs be, the upstream flow and flow-off sides can be fitted with upstream flow profiles or upstream flow diffusors. We design both types of baffles using galvanized steel, stainless steel or plastic to match the requirements of the application in hand.
Absorption baffle silencers
Absorption baffle silencers convert noise into heat. They dampen noise over a broad range and, in most applications, are the first choice for our customers as they are more cost-effective than resonator baffle silencers.
Resonator baffle silencers
Resonator baffle silencers are particularly advantageous when working with dusty media in ventilation or exhaust systems. They employ the interference method in which sound waves cancel each other out (active noise compensation) and must, therefore, be designed individually to suit particular frequency ranges. For the best results, we combine them with board resonator elements and adapt them to the particular housing geometries.
